We collect the following information:

1. Personal Information: First name, last name, and email address used during sign-up and as username.
2. Email Content: All content submitted by forwarding emails, which may include further email addresses of the user and third parties, including personal addresses of other people.
3. Payment Information: We are using Paddle for payment processing and subscription management. Paddle stores payment information which may contain additional personal information such as your address or credit card details. Please consult the section Third Party Services for further details.
4. Usage and Log Data: We collect log data from our servers, including IP addresses, browser type, and other technical information. This data is used for debugging and improving our service.

2. Use of Information

We use the collected information to provide our email summarization service.

We handle all data carefully and in compliance with applicable data protection laws, including GDPR.

3. Data Handling and Responsibility

While we handle all data with care, you are responsible for what is forwarded and what is not. We do not recommend forwarding sensitive personal, business, or classified information.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to handle and process data:

• Postmark: For handling inbound and outbound emails. Postmark’s data processing agreement, and, specifically, their privacy policy for the EU with statements on GDPR and a data processing agreement.
• Mistral: For summarizing email content. Mistral’s data processing addendum.
• Hetzner: For hosting the web app, backend, and database to store email and summarization contents, as well as login data. Hetzner’s privacy policy. You may request the data processing agreement individually, it will be provided as PDF in German. Hetzner’s data processing agreement in English as template and some additional information about data processing, log files, IP addresses and so forth.
• Paddle: For payment processing and subscription management. Paddle’s privacy and data processing addendum.
• Netlify: For hosting our public website. Netlify’s GDPR and CCPA policy including a link to their data processing agreement as PDF.

5. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data. However, please be aware that no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data only as long as necessary to provide the service and comply with legal obligations such as financial reporting.

This mainly applies to a record of your purchase. If you choose to delete your account and your data (emails and summaries), especially the email and summary contents will be deleted.

7. User Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You may also object to the processing of your data or request its restriction.
